I plan on using a 255lph pump, a Moroso log type return regulator to reduce pressure to 15 psi. The return regulator i want to mount in back close to the tank. To reduce the pressure to 7 psi i have a holley blue regulator up by the carb. Anybody see any problems with this plan? I currently have a Carter street electric and 3/8 lines with no problems, just noisey ans MAYBE getting a little low on pressure in high gear. Dart, 408 cubes, 504 hp on the dyno. I am over hear because i am not getting any love elsewhere!

A couple of things I would be concerned about would be heating up the fuel and the pump from being on bypass constantly to knock 60ish psi down to 15. The other would be loss of volume going through 2 regulators.

Is there such a thing as a stand alone electronic pump controller that would use pulse width modulation to control how much fuel is pumped? Simplifies the plumbing and gets rid of 2 mechanical regulators.

Hi Greg, I see what you are doing there. I think it will work fine and keep the pump happy. You might think about a nicer regulator up front

Many generic pwm controllers out there, just make sure they'll handle 10-15v and ~20amps.

The bypass regulator i have allows all the fuel to return to the tank through a relief valve, untill spring pressure is applied to the piston, raising pressure to what ever amount of spring pressure is applied. So the EFI pump will never be able to build pressure beyond what i set it at, about 15 psi.so it will move a lot of fuel to and from the tank, but at low pressure. Hopefully it won't build a lot of heat in the fuel.

The way I have done it on multiple vehicles is an A1000 pump, a return system with one of their universal regulators...I typically use AN10 lines, but I have used AN08......Now I have used this with multiport and throttle body and with carbs....

If its carb or throttle body, I run from the bypass regulator up to the carb or throttle body with a dead head type system...Only the fuel from the regulator gets returned. I do not use any 90's if I can avoid them.

The A1000 works well from 6lbs all the way to 60lbs.....No issues with either. My Cuda is currently setup this way with a 1250 Dominator...
