There where a few things I was bidding on line, wow I was out bid so many times that I just could not believe it. I have been to Steven's house to see and visit with him. I live very close to his house and one time I was there he reached in this box and handed me a small bag, he said it's your's. So at least I have something of his to remember him by. RIP

Bought some Plymouth Cuff Links and tie holder for $20. Also got a pair of 70 Chrysler NOS side marker lenses for $5.00! That was a deal.

I won these Duster stickers that I wanted that ironically I was outbid on about five years ago on Ebay by Steve! We had several online and email chats about his collection and my small Duster Memorabilia collection and he was always there to chat, answer questions and share the passion. RIP Steve!

My collection is 55-61, I bid on almost all of those items. Won most. There was one bidder who wanted the same stuff I did. Between us, neither one ever got a deal lol. I sat all day in road art on Saturday. I sold 2 big signs in Friday’s, the 18 foot tall Chrysler and Plymouth neons. I basically spent the profit on new items. There were only 2 items I wanted I didn’t buy. Have to set some limits.

I did manage to LUCK INTO winning 4 items, but of course on everything else I was interested in, like most people, I was blown out of the water. But watching the collection grow during the 30+ years we knew each other and the innumerable visits to his house developing a long time friendship was just as satisfying. A truly unique individual.

I had one of the original Super Bee lights until about 1980.
My dad went on a clean house rampage and made me throw it in the dumpster.
I was pissed (still am) and if I had I still wouldn’t sell it for this much.

It says "The bid goes on..." which means the car was not sold.

I would think $250k is nowhere near the reserve. Cheetahs may appeal to a fairly small audience, but it’s a deep pocket car.

...and Bill Thomas and Co only made something like 27 of them.

Wicked lil bastards.
