For those that have lowered their 72-93 half-ton trucks, I am looking for pictures and ideas on what to do with the bump stop.
I know that people have cut the bump stop mount completely out, but I hate doing "permanent" mods.
Anyone ever try just removing the rubber bumper?
I am using van lower control arm.
Thanks

The mount or just the rubber?

The rubber bumper, that way I still had some cushion.

When I lowered mine I just cut the rubber down. Cool! That's what I want to do. Does it hit often? Did you cut a couple inches?

I've got my 76 lowered on van lower control arms and there is only 3/4" of space between the arm and the steel mount for the bump stop. I know they are the original springs. How much gap should there be between the mount and the lower control arm?
