... Didn't get their shafts because they were 3 weeks out minimum. Do you recall how much a pair of their shafts would cost?

A shaft for a needle rocker (not a captive bearing with inner race) has to be in the Rockwell 50 numbers or it will brinnel itself to death, because the individual needle is knife-blade hard and its load per square inch of contact is MUCH higher than a plain bearing. If you have a good bronze bushing in the rocker, and positive oil feed, the shaft can be much softer and cheaper to make. Except for the oil passages, it could be made from cored shelf stock (common fractional sizes) at a slight oversize and lathed to suit.

... Dechellis Machine offers a .187 wall rocker shaft for the BB. Their stuff looks real nice. Can't find anything about them besides some high-dollar Hemi shafts & stands for alcohol funny car-type applications. Where did you see their BB shafts?

Hughes used to buy their rocker shafts from RAS but I doubt they still do. That was a few years back........ More than "a few", unfortunately.

I am using the Comp roller rockers with a liner on the shaft side and 440source HD shafts.....So far, 9.68 and no problems. A lot less chance of roller bearings going thru the engine if one fails. Had many 440source rocker bearings fail in our application over the years. 4 last year alone.

What the consensus on these rocker arm kits that Mancini sells: https://www.manciniracing.com/b16alrowibih.htmlThey are made by Harland Sharp for Mancini and cost $512 for the kit. fast69plymouth said in a previous thread that they are close in length to the $908 set that Harland Sharp makes for use with Edelbrock (and Trickflow, Sidwinder, Promaxx) heads.

the pic on that flyer shows a shaft labelled "440" i'd guess the .187" shafts are $95 unhardened and $135 hardened. a phone call will say for sure...
