I didn’t make it to the track last night so I stole these pictures. Typical weekend and the rain moved in after they made one pass but the crowd seemed to have a great time. Man these weekend rainstorms have gotta go. Neat Drone picture before the gates opened to the spectators

We didn’t make the cut for NPK. Lutz was there Wednesday testing and I think I heard him say during an interview that he made his first ever passes at Keystone. We are just a small local IHRA track but one with lots of history. Garlets usually comes back once a year. Greg Miller leases that he track and does a great job but rain over the past few years is killing him. He’s the type of guy that has his fingers in a few other businesses or the track would probably be gone.

Looks like a nice little track.

Lutz reminds me of this guy.

Keystone is a nice older track, went there several times when I lived in West Virginia, its a good place to race.

Lutz is from, and lives in the Evans City area, north of Pittsburgh. Local guy.

Being from Pittsburgh originally , I went to a couple Mopar races at Keystone back in the mid 2000s and had fun , it was a cool track.

Saw them at Quaker on Wednesday. The place was PACKED. It's been over 20 years since I've seen that many people there.

Lutz and Ryan signed autographs and talked to the fans the whole time. Chuck was late getting there, and had an issue when he finally make it.

Lutz and Ryan put on a good match race, splitting wins and close racing.

These guys are great ambassadors to the sport. I'm glad we went to see them.

NHRA needs to take notice, the match racing brings the fans to the local tracks.

Lutz has been to Keystone quite a few times. Saw him there in his old primered 57 go 200.1mph through the lights and his shoot not open! Brought it to a stop just touching in the sand!

Lutz several years ago at Keystone when he had the twin cars. Notice the front tires and notice how far down the track he is.

Yeah the stock aero cars with big power have that problem. Larry Larson complained that when he was leaning on his nova real hard it would pick the wheels up through the traps. It is one of the reasons he advocated to put rules on the unlimited cars at drag week, he didn't feel it was safe.

So if that's where he lives, how does he manage to regularly race with the 405 guys? Their rules are that you have to live in the area code !!

Maybe he keeps a shop here? I know his car has what appears to be an Oklahoma tag.
