Thinking about pull the side glass out of my valiant and changing to lexan. This will be driven on the street. Can you use a standard automotive window tint on it? Does anyone have a "kit" for a 68 2 door sedan? Thanks

Yes you can. But what's the point of lexan on a street driven car?

The place I get my lean from sells it tinted & in different colors. Plus they offer it in single & double side Mar-Guard scratch resistant materials. I don't have the card right w/me. They are in Cranberry, PA. Should be able to Google lean & the town to find them.
See ya, Ken

Yes, looking to lighten up my steerable hot rod up. I'm just weighing my options. Not interested in replacing the windshield or rear window. Being a sedan I can do the side glass and still look stock. From what I've read the lexan is 50% of the weight of glass.

Sedans are the easiest to replace glass with Lexan and if you use 1/8th thick Lexan instead of the stock 3/16, it is lighter, but a little rattly in the channels.

I was always told no, it gases, creates bubbles in tint.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

When I had plexiglass in my Cuda, I put one of the old Direct Connection tint bars across the top of the windshield. It bubbled up like crazy before the end of the first race season. And if you remove it, good luck getting all of the bubble stains out of the plexi.
