H The engine needs to go back about 1" and down about 3/4", but it hits the steering linkage. And the reason it would not go back any further, was the lower frame mounts for the midplate were hitting the JW Mopar bellhousing on the PG transmission. I called the seller, and he cut notches in his JW bellhousing. I decided to just rotate the midplate frame mounts.

I finished cutting off the old midplate mounts. Made new ones, and finished welding and painting them this morning. Drilled new holes in midplate to match.

What pan did you use? Mine had the same issue. I didn't build or design this engine. It was new and ready to go at the right price so I bought it. It has a center sump, 8qt steel pan with 1/2 internal oil pump pickup (hemi style).
