4 options:

- wait til they’re available

- turn down a .502 guide

- ream hole in head to .500, use a .502 guide

- put a liner in the old guide

When I was messing with those heads on a semi regular basis....... if they needed guides(most did), I made them so I could use .502 guides.

Yep. I always do option 2. Even on new stuff like W5 heads. I junked the original seats a guides because they were so crappy.

Machine shop doesn't want to put liners in them.
Also don't want to ream the heads to common size.

I guess I could buy a reamer and do it myself.

Place that makes the guides said "call Indy, they order them from us".
Called Indy said, "those heads are junk..."..

I never had any problems reaming the heads.

Made any future repairs a lot easier too.

In my mind, it was the “no brainer” route to take.

If your shop doesn't want to do them then send the heads to Dwayne. He has been fixing Stage VI heads since they first came out.........

Having played in both of those arenas, it’s little wonder I haven’t embraced the LS swap laugh2
