They are taking orders for the Helliphant crate motor and I am getting one for the KOS Demon. Looks like BES is building them.

$30K motor, computer a little extra. He said they ran one hard and the block is only good for 1200HP. IMO good enough.

Core? Nope, brand new stuff, and I have a nice low deck KB/B1 motor with a fogger system to trade in. Or a almost new mega block 540.

What's gonna cost will be putting it in. Tranny, converter, rad, another rad for the blower, tranny rad, fuel sys, instrumentation...$$$. Don't care. This thing can run on pump gas or so they say, and Huntsville Dragway is 5 odometer miles away.

I had to leave town the next AM cause my dad was dying, Randy wouldn't take a credit card, and they closed orders at 100 units in 2 days. I didn't get one.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost mine in October. As far as the Hellephant is concerned, you can build more power than it makes out of a Gen III for less money.

Sorry about your dad. As I understood a company called TCI was building them but (and they were making 1500hp cranked up in testing) but BES could likely out- do it as they are pretty good with new hemis if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket.

Randy said BES has the contract to build them. He also said the rumor is Mopar turned one of these alum blocks up and it failed at 1200hp. I am pretty disappointed but maybe this was meant to be. I have the moolahs and a car to put one of those in. You would think Ma Mopar would want to see a KOS Demon driving around and terrorizing the track.

I've also heard the same from very reliable sources. TCI and 1500 seem like someones made up story and is complete fiction. I know they are having issues with the blocks. FCAs quality is top notch. I heard they've been scrapping quite a few of the Hellephant blocks. What the exact issue is I can't say. Yes BES is building them.

It came from Monty at YB, he works in that industry and when he was in there looking at one and talking to them about it (TCI) they are the ones that told him 1500hp in testing.

The guy I wanted to talk into putting the motor in was working up in KY for a while and he said Mopar was about to bust loose. With sooo many good classic Mopar race cars out there that can be run on the "street", IMO they are seriously F'ing up by not following through on this. There are only plan C alternatives, and they are a whole lot cheaper.
