Anyone planning on attending this year?

I'm going to see if the track will consider keeping the track open after racing on saturday to allow for people to just make passes, test, ect. Typically the racing is over early on sat, and they shut the track down and that's it till sunday. I'm sure it will cost something (as it should). Just curious if anyone else would be interested. Might be something that could be offered as a pay to play half day type rental.

Memorial Day weekend @ South Georgia Dragstrip. Great track, but turnout was always light. I used to help sponsor it. Years ago. Lawrence Roundtree used to run it at Reynolds Dragstrip. Todd

I'm looking forward to it and hope nothing unexpected comes up. Only bad thing is that while the schedule link says Fri. - Sun., the flyer doesn't show anything for Sunday!

See you there Myron but no clue on Sunday’s intentions. Apparently Mack won’t be able to make it there but perhaps some other Stock and Super Stockers will make it. It would be great if we had a really good turnout to help insure this event continues.

Spoke to Nelson at SGMP. Saturday after the race, they're willing to keep the track open later. I'm sure it will cost something, but I don't suspect much for people wanting to make passes after the racing end. No racing on Sunday. Racing will be mopar only, both friday and saturday.

Bumping this back to the first page in hopes of getting a few more of you guys to attend. SGMP is a great track for anyone who hasn't been there before. Huge paved pits, real food, great new management, and a MOPAR event. They also have superb track equipment, fire safety, and prep.

I’m waiting for an answer from them if AMC’s are permitted.

They’ve always had plenty of AMC’s in prior years....going to be hot, bring some shade and plenty of water.

That’s interesting, they told me no. Kind of a moot point now, sprung a leak on a freeze plug Saturday T&T. Probably won’t be fixed.
