Hey everyone,

I need to replace the 22" radiator in my 71 RR, 383 4-spd. I'd like to keep it as original looking as possible. Any recommendations for the best place to find one?

Year One seemed to be very expensive. Other places - speedcooling, Champion, etc, I was unable to tell if their models looked like the factory originals.

If you want original looking that actually fits, then there is only one choice, Glen Ray Radiator.

You might also talk to your radiator shop (if they are top notch) about recoreing with your orig tanks.

He's in California. It's probably been outlawed to solder & paint!

Glen Ray is the best. The difference is in the cores, which are thin on standard parts store radiators. GR uses the big tubes and thick cores, same as the factory.

I haven't been able to find a shop around here that actually repairs radiators. The best they'll do is an outright replacement.

I talked with GR. He was great and really knowledgeable! Unfortunately he's backed up and we agreed he'd try to take my radiator for a rebuild in August. Lucky for me I don't need the car until then so it's a win-win.
