So no one had any face time at Carlisle at the Passon display to get any better update on this project to report?

Seth Garrett to my knowledge doesn't supply transmissions.... He is involved in building them. John Huff and Jamie sell them.

He had 9 that needs to be tested.

A couple going to his buddies, the rest I think are going to Jamie.

However, he's real busy and testing these trans isn't the highest priority for him at the moment.

I'm so far down the list, I'm sure I'll just have to end up cutting up my car to fit a SS T-56 Magnum.

Does anyone know if these transmissions need a speedometer cable extension for a 71 RR? If they do how much of an extension and where do you get them? I seem to have read that they do but I am not sure where I saw that.

I've never seen a shifter in that location. Can you post a picture of the original trans/shifter?

The transmission is in storage and was taken apart by the previous owner. The car was converted to an auto so the hump was hacked up and I need to replace that too.
I'll try to get some pics this weekend.
Here are the parts that were needed to move the shifter using the front mounting point.

The shifter is taller and comes back a little to clear the bench seat. Also was able to get the shifter lens at Hurstshiftersonline.com.

When I saw your picture of the shifter mounted to the 71-74 style mounting plate. I was surprised to see how high up it's position is.

3 Carlisles ago or about 2.5 years I talked to him and he said we were #5 on the list for early B-bodies and it would be a couple of months. 4 months later I checked and it was pushed back to a year. Still waiting

I got the call yesterday! and finished up the deal with Jamie.

My transmission should be here next week.

What number are you on the list?

I believe I was 242....or 224.....its been to long for me to remember exactly.....
