Does anyone know where I can get a dual carb synchronizer, specifically for dual afb's? Dvorak Machine sells one, but I can't get a hold of them.

I bought one from Edlebrock years ago, call Summit and Jeg's and see if they stock them or not. scope
It should come with a adapter for smaller two barrel type carbs and for the early small AFB size air cleaner bases, You set one carb. at a time and set it up the way you want it and then make the other carb. match it wrench

When I was a kid I heard forever how hard it is to run multiple carbs. But, as an owner of a max wedge race car, and a street car running a max intake, I found this to be totally untrue. I have never "balanced" my carbs, and never had problems.

I do know that I have to set idle speed by going back and forth, but in the end, idle is set by only one carb, but it doesn't matter in performance I can tell. I suppose if I was running stock and needed every bit of performance I may care.

You can find them on ebay, you just have to go back and forth between carbs

Motion pro makes them for motorcycle use, they have fluid filled manometer.Mine is an old mercury filled unit. Yu can also use multiple vacuum gauge sets.

Lockjaw do you have an Offenhauser dual quad there? Whats some specs of the car and engine? How does the manifold perform? Offenhauser is an interesting company.

Keep old mopars alive.

I agree with no need for this tool. Been running dual carbs street car and racecar for over 25 years. Start with all 4 mixture screws the same number of turns and move all 4 the same amount.

Different intakes will make carbs perform differently. The signal will be different from carb to carb.
Same intake with 2 different pairs of carbs will require a different tune.
These carb sync tools are a very valuable toll to tuning dual carbs.
As well as a single carb.

The tool on the top is what I have along with one cast aluminum reducer adapter up
As far as the Offy 360 dual carb intakes with dual carbs.on a wedge motor don't do that tsk The other dual plane dual quad intakes are way better than those old flat Offys twocents

So maybe we should build one that does all 8 individual throttle plates. Splitting hairs here.

Went to Fergussons Plumbing supply and bought the pieces. Just took a top ring gasket with me and this picture.

Also, bought the adjustable synchronizer off of ebay (popular item) for SU Carbs (British Carbs)...took that to the supply house too.

This is not my engine!

Manometer. Isn't that what Rosie O'Donell uses to pick out what she/it is going to wear? HA!
