I have an original clamp that needs painting. I searched here for any hints of what others have used that matches the original blue color and came up empty handed.
Thanks in advance

Good question. Sorry, I don’t have a suggestion but I’ll be watching to see what folks recommend. I wonder how far off it is from early 70s blue engine paint? Corporate Blue? Could be just not sure.

Thanks Mike. I have sent an email. Will update once I hear back.
Really appreciate the help. Spoke with Chas and he doesn’t have this color but is willing to match it and make it in aerosol. Sending clamp today and will update when painted.

Chas Dallas matched the color perfectly. Great guy to work with through the whole process. Mixed it up in aerosol and sprays out nice. Pic is of a repop that I had and as you can see, wrong color. https://8774paint1.comThanks Mike for letting us know about his service.

that looks perfect ! great label description as well ! what color of primer did you use, just sand the original bracket then spray, or blast to bare metal and just spray without any primer ? any of these variations of application techniques , of course, would/could change the color slightly. Depends on condition of part. I just media blasted with fine media and sprayed with no primer like factory. It's acrylic enamel so a light tack coat followed by a medium second coat and done.
