I have a 71 Challenger with a 440 in it. I would like to put a Victor intake on it but not sure of the height on my R/T hood. Will it fit? Thanks

Im not exactly sure in your application, but i would guess not. It is a pretty tall intake. I have it on my 68 b body and it won’t fit under the stock hood- charger.

R/T hood, not likely; T/A hood in your profile pics, yes.

I have a Super Victor off the engine I could measure for you,
let me know if that will help.

That is an old pic. I have a R/T hood on it now.

Standard Victor RB intake is 6"+ from the base to the carb mounting surface, and it's not tilted forward like an OEM or most aftermarket intakes, either.

My un-molested Super Victor is 6-3/8" to the carb base lying on flat surface.
Max Wedge runner dimension would account for the difference, I assume.

I would be surprised if it fits under a stock hood with a 440. I have the same problem on my 63 as I run the Indy dual plane and would like to try a single plane one day. I think the only two that will fit are the Holley SD and the Mopar 337 intake. I want to try the Mopar 337 one day as I hear its a very good single plane and it may fit under your hood also. Good luck , Ron
