I saw the latest limit when having a car recerted. 5.35 is it for the 8.50 cert. Was straight off the nhra sheet.

What Darren said 5.35, FWIW your 8.33 would be a good deal faster than 8.50, likely closer to high 8.30's/8.40

I would agree it went 8.50 at 5:44 in the eighth... it picks up 33+ mph on the back side...

Put it this way. In my area a strict IHRA or most NRRA tracks would ban you till you upgrade to 7.50 and is way I upgraded my Daytona to 7.50 in 2009. In the dirty south if it backs off the trailer under power you are good to go. Lol 😂

The factors i have read use .639 or .640 as 1/4 to 1/8. Dividing your 5.38 by these shows 8.35,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,oops!

Factors and conversions don't matter. As far as NHRA is concerned 10.00 = 6.40, Their 8.50 number is 5.35 for the 25.x, and 7.50 is 4.50.

The rule book is vague (as in it's not there) except for the 9.99/6.39 numbers needing the basic cert. Also they have MPH numbers of 135+ for a basic cert and 180+ for 25.x. Sounds like the 1/8 mile stuff they leave up to the tracks to a degree.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

1/4 mile is cut and dry. If I were going to an 1/8 mile deal, I'd make a phone call to whomever was running it.

WD-40 as in 8.40.

What's your sea levels?
A leaf spring door car at those ET's is astounding.

We should talk in moss code from now on, I assume that the Generals and Ovals are a peeking on here. Trying to make some grub man! LOL.

.. yeah steel doors functioning windows steel fenders. OEM floor.. she still all there with the exception of the inner Fender Wells and the spare tire well.. that pass was 1400ft corrected .. we will be headed up to Northern Cal here in 2 weeks possibly could get into some sea level racing but nonetheless 1400ft . Is good for around here.

Guys are talking about Sacramento on Class Racer. Place is supposed to be fast. Could always come east to MIR or get the "Cecil County" tuneup.

Multiply your 1/8 et by 1.57 to get a pretty accurate 1/4 mile time. UNLESS you car is set for 1/8 mile. BTW the NHRA 4.50 for the 1/8 is ludicrous as 4.50 pretty much a 7.00 run..A long way from 7.49

Sacramento that time of year can be really good or just ok. Depends on the temps and baro. The air there is NOWHERE near as good as what is typical on the east coast tracks.

I think as far as East coast tracks go, MIR, Atco and or Cecil county are best to see what this white HOT Dart will do in the good air.
