Does anyone reproduce the wiper motor mounting bushings with the metal insert? Mine are dried out and the metal insert is pretty corroded and I'd like to replace them all. So far, I haven't found anyone and the ones in the HELP section at auto parts stores do not have the correct opening size for the stud to fit through.

If you look closely you'll see that those bushings were installed and "crimped" after the rubber insulator. You can't get one out without wrecking the bushing or insulator. My guess is for that reason nobody has yet reproduced them. The closest thing you'll find will be a poor knock-off from SF Restoration (a sponsor here). They fit both the insulator and the stud but they don't look correct.

two speed bushings should be 2932708 You can find them on ebay from time to time.

I tried the Dorman HELP ones and the opening diameter for the stud is not big enough.

for some reason [probably me ], i always seem to have a time getting those type of bushings in place when they are new, unless they have a two piece metal sleeve/insert. or are those a two piece deal ?

I checked out the ones at Bill Meerholz site. I see the rubber bushing but I did not see the metal insert. Did the 3 speed wiper motors get that metal insert or does my factory wiper motor have some added metal sleeve for some reason?

These are the usual cowl seal you would find on a 3 speed wiper motor 66 -74

my gasket looked like the one on the right. Whats left of the bushings also look like the ones on the right but the insert looked more like the left but extremely corroded away.

I am having some made, should get them in a few weeks
