Anyone done it or tried? Valves are 5.135 length v/s 5" or so for stock. Could the 2.14 intake valve be faced small enough to fit?
Hollow valves with the sodium filled exhaust on the cheap?

Look at the 5.7 valve also.

On a side note,if using roller rockers be sure to check wipe pattern & you might need to slightly move the stud hole slightly toward the valley as the roller likely will be way close to the ex side edge of the valve tip. Some have advised against that relocation (not sure of a better option) but when the time comes mockup & go from there. From what I understand there ain't a rocker with short enough fulcrum distances to better this & valve length is certainly gonna play into this. EQ Mag heads are supposed to be a killer.

RR, not sure what you meant by the EQ head being a killer. Is it in regards to valve train geometry? I also have a set of the Indy RHS X magnum style heads that I could use. Thanks for your input.

I can’t imagine the oe triple keeper groove is going to help with the spring installed height or aftermarket retainer/lock situations.

You can get aftermarket G3 valves that have single bead loc grooves....... but once you’re spending the $$ for aftermarket valves, there are other options as well.

My EQ heads have 8mm LS 2.02 valves in them. The heads needed bronze guides anyway, and the LS valves are + .050 long If i recall correctly. Add a .100 cut to the valve pockets and you have some room for valve lift. I used Olds rocker studs and SBC rockers in 1.6 ratio.

A friend in Tampa built an R3 engine with the MP aluminum Commando heads (not sure which ones he had). They tried many valves in the heads on a flow bench and the Gen III Hemi intake valve flowed the worst as stock. They machined it and got it to flow the best. They would not share the details with me, but they found a shape and had Manley custom valve for them.
