OK, OK, getting old and the memory ain't what it used to be (and search is no help either). blush

1- Any older Mopars that used a warning light for temperature or did they all have gauges? work

2- If any did, was it simply a ground to illuminate the light? If nothing OE, anything available in the aftermarket?

Reason I ask is to add a warning light to the Charger simply for safety's sake.

on 69 & 70 C bodies, they had a "cold" and "hot" light . . . was a sensor screwed into the water jacket with two wires coming off it (iirc) . . .

My '67 New Yorker had the warning lights; sensor has two terminals, they supply a ground at certain temps. Green light (COLD) on until 140°F then out, red light (HOT) on at 240°F.

from my old, foggy memory, 66 [or 67] to 70 newyorkers and imperials for sure had that feature, and possibly newports in the 69-70 models.
