I have an eagle 5.7 intake on my 6.1, you have to mod the intake some on the bottom as it hits the block in front. The ports are different on the earlier 5.7 intakes.

Thanks for the current input guys, but being a newbie to the Gen 3 HEMI, Eagle this, Eagle that? are we talking aftermarket components?, I'm just curious if the Edelbrock 5.7 dual quad carb manifold is 5.7 only?, or can it fit STOCK 6.1 or 6.4 Gen3 HEMIs without modding/swapping heads...no one (mfg's included) seems to have any input as to whether the Edelbrock bolts ups to anything other than a 5.7....I can deal with port shape mismatch, but I'm more concerned with the actual fit, I don't have access to a 6.1 or 6.4 to test this, I don't even know if 6.1 and 6.4 Gen#'s are interchangeable among themselves?
TIA Mike

Mike- Eagle is the 2009 & later 5.7. Different heads and VVT are the main differences vs the early 5.7s The bolt patterns are all the same but the early 5.7L heads (03-08) are there own entity and have a narrow but tall port and the eagle,6.1L,6.2L,6.4L heads all have the same port window and are wide and short. Also if you plan on using the MSD ignition controller they only work with the early reluctor wheels unless MSD has upgraded. OK better understood Thank You....the plan is for a "dumbed down" HEMI (flame suit on!) Gen 3 running dual quads and a distributor/single plug per cylinder, no computer/MSD/VVT/WT etc, etc mated to a 6 spd T56, I'm probably stuck going with an early 5.7 engine but I'm weighing my options going with 6.1-6.4 and trying to learn whats doable before I invest in an engine Thanks Mike

I'm guessing he wants the look of the dual carb intake on his 'old school' Gen III

You will be stuck with a 6.1 or 2008-older 5.7 block if you're going to use the distributor conversion.

You will be stuck with a 6.1 or 2008-older 5.7 block if you're going to use the distributor conversion. I'm fine with that, I just wanted to know if the 5.7 intake was compatible with 6.1/6.4 engines, as for the 6.1 am I limited to 2006 to 2008 production?, or up to 2011 engines regarding the distributor set up? Thank you for the input Mike
