found one on line with newer transmission but was informed it wasnt shifting any idea on the issue

the filter in the pan splits at the seams, I always start there and it cures most issues I have seen with the 45rfe trans

Didn't think a 3.7 would have a 45rfe. But your right on the filter issues seen alot of replacements and overhauls for a bad filter to pump seal.

It should have the light duty 42RLE. Basically a FWD transmission adapted from the 42LE to make the power flow go out the back.

Solenoid pack, Low & reverse switch valve ect... Without a diag and pulling codes it is a total shot in the dark as to what could have failed.
