I have a set of the Mopar 15X7 trim rings that were re-released in 2006-7. Problem for me is that they are polished and I need brushed rings for my T/A.

Any thoughts on the better option:

Trade for a set of brushed (assuming I can find someone willing to trade)?
Send them out to have them brushed?

Thanks!

why not try getting out the scotchbrite pad and "brush" them yourself ?? Probably easiest to make what you already have, what you want. I am not sure if there is anyone out there that would brush them for you . . .

Thanks - I am leaning that way. Some guys on another site also recommend that and showed some good results.

I would say it's according to what level car you have. If it's a high level restoration, I'd try to find the real thing. If not a 100 point car, buy a set of polished repos and sell those to someone that needs them. I got a set of repos and mounted them on a bare rim and put on the car and while in gear spinning, I brushed them with light sand paper.

I remember reading this article (good read too !) about a guy in NJ who restored trim rings. I'm sure he could brush them for you if needed.

He is in Connecticut and his work is fantastic, but you better check with him on turn around time.
