I’ve personal seen and know the original owner of a 70 Barracuda that has the blacked out rear panel and chrome molding. It also was red with front and rear rubber bumpers, 383 4 barrel and flat hood. Was it possible to get a Barracuda with the blacked out panel, chrome trim, but also get a sport hood, Cuda rocker molding, and dual exhaust cutout rear valance? I would say this car was a Cuda except for the fact the holes for a Barracuda emblem are present on the rear tail light panel. Sorry no more information is available than what I have given.

70 Barracuda that has the blacked out rear panel and chrome molding - part of the A22 "front & rear elastomeric bumper package"
It also was red with front and rear rubber bumpers, 383 4 barrel and flat hood.

Was it possible to get a Barracuda with the blacked out panel, chrome trim - YES, with A22
, but also get a sport hood, - YES, OPTIONAL
Cuda rocker molding, - NO
and dual exhaust cutout rear valance? - NO

This does have dual exhaust cutout valance that “appears” to have been original. What all colors were offered in the A22 package? It has holes for the cuda rocker moldings AND holes for the Barracuda script on the rear not the Cuda emblem.

at the beginning of the model year A22 was available on "rallye red" (FE5) cars only. after January '70 a few more colors were added: EB5, EV2, FC7, FK5, FY1, black & white

rocker "sill mouldings" were not an OPTION on a '70 "BH" Barracuda (they were STANDARD * but different * on "BS" 'cuda & "BP" Gran Coupe)
rear valence with tips was 'cuda ONLY

what does the fender tag/broadcast sheet show?

Fastmark, that wouldn't be the red car with the red interior, & white painted top would it? I clearly remember that car back in the mid-80's. Didn't that car come out of the Jacksboro area??

No tag or sheet for this car. Things have been added is the only logical conclusion.

No painted top but I think the interior was red. This car was from Coleman.

What do you mean by "chrome" molding?? It is a terribly misused word on this site. Chrome means almost anything shiny to most posters. On the rear of a 1970 Barracuda with a black tail panel, you could only get the three pieces of aluminum trim(aluminum NOT "chrome"). That would be because it was part of the M46 molding package. That package was never available with the A22 code. The four pieces of stainless steel(NOT "chrome") that are standard on 'cuda BS cars, was only available on Gran Coupe cars, along with the three pieces of aluminum trim, BUT the tail panel would be painted that astrotone silver colour, standard on all Gran Coupes in 1970. And it would have to be coded with the A22 code and be FE5, at least in the early part of production.

If the rear valence is original to the car, then it will have a stamped date code on it that would be in line with the month code on the door jamb sticker. It will not, I'm betting.
