The circled bolts. One on each side. These are NOT seat belts or exhaust hangers. It would appear that they bolt the rear floor section to the frame rails for assembly at the factory!!

Probably NOT tsk All the main body parts for the rear half of unibody cars are welded on, not bolted shruggy
If they bolted them together before welding it would take a lot more than two bolts, correct? work shruggy
The exhaust hanger brackets should be welded onto the bottom of the floor near where your bolts are confused
I wish I had the correct answer for you but I don't whiney

My 1969 GTX does not have them...is that an AMD mod?
That is if you bought their floor pans.

I believe you are correct. The rear frame rails were set in a jig with the floor pan. I think that these two bolts tied everything together before being welded together. Both my 68 and 69 road runners have them. And a 69 coronet I recently parted had them too.

I've always thought that as well. Kind of stacked washers under there too to temporarily hold some things together until final fitment..

Are they not to hold down the rear seat back cushion? Some cars used metal tabs folded over and others had bolts I believe.

No, they're different and mine were fogged the same color as floor. They bolt right into subframe IIRC.
