I searched but could not find any reference to "Prestige" on this forum.

They sell a complete 572 that seems like an appropriate engine for my fake super bee.

Anyone here have experience dealing with them?

Never heard of them. I have heard of Ray Barton. He has done one of those before.

My question would be....... if they don’t have a block on hand for your build....... where are they going to get one?

They did come up in research a couple times when I started mine.

If it is the company I am thinking of, they have a really smooth running one on youtube that would probably appeal to those into milder engines.

I think that one had an aluminum block but can't recall...

I couldn't buy a crate for any engine without checking everything !! I have heard too many stories...........

I suspect they won't honor the 3 year warranty if I take the entire engine apart to inspect it. The car is just a driver, not a real race car.

Since nobody here has any first hand experience with them, I think I will probably hold off for another year. The car needs a dana and rear springs moved in, so I guess I will do that this year instead.

IMOP your so much better off getting a block when you can find one,even a used block as your a streeter,There are many choices for cylinder heads available as is rocker gear.There is also a large selection of internal parts to choose from that YOU could choose.
Do you have a GOOD machine shop near you that is capable of blueprinting your project? I think you could accomplish your desire for less then a Barton crate!
