Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations on a chrome shop to redo my 71 RR bumpers.

I would prefer them to be as close to LA area (SoCal) as possible to minimize shipping costs, but may need to ship if nothing close.

I go to Bakersfield, San Diego and Las Vegas regularly, so I could drop them off.

My bumpers have the long rubber strips on them, so I would like to pick them up when finished to test fit the rubber strips to make sure they fit back on the bumpers.

I don't want to send the rubber strips with the bumpers because extra parts get lost easily.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in Advance,

Chuck

I had a shop in Lancaster, CA do my bumpers, straighten and rechromed, on my 1966 Dodge, Coronet Deluxe. I don't remember the name now but they serve the entire west coast from San Diego to Seattle, WA. I met them in Eugene ,OR at a car show where they had their booth to drop them off and picked them up 6 weeks later at another car show in Salem, OR, no extra charge for pickup and delivery boogie
I am very please with the quality and price, it would have costs a lot more up here from either of the two chrome shops in Oregon shruggy
I called the Bumper Boyz in L.A. and they where longer on time and more money shruggy I had ask on here about chroming on the west coast before deciding and one of the members recommended the shop in Lancaster up scope
If I remember the name later I'll put on this post thumbs

For bumper rechroming, most of the body shops in Los Angles used a company called Faith Plating in West LA off of Fairfax. But checking more closely they seem to have moved out to Vernon but now that listing is closed. Due to the toxic materials there doesn't seem to be many local places that do bumpers, there are shops that do smaller trim, moldings, wheels but not the larger parts. For the 71 Plymouth B Body note that AMD does make reproduction front (MB184626) & rear (MB184629) bumpers available through Classic Industries.

Just my $0.02... wink
