Are the legal street drags on Woodward Ave still on for this coming Summer?
I believe the event has changed its heading from the "Roadkill Drags" sponsored by Dodge, to another name, but has it been changed as far as the dates? I see no info on it.

Yeah, I heard that Roadkill has since deceased as a magazine and thus, the event itself may be now headlined by another company/zine. Perhaps Dodge is still on board as the sponsor. I'll find out from my sources there. I just put it on here to see if I would get a faster response.

I am pretty sure the "Roadkill" magazine was deceased last summer.

I think the official name is Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge. Last year the first announcement I could find was in April so you might hear something soon.

The corporate "umbrella clause". Fiat bought the rights to Plymouth.

The Dodge part was separate from the all make event.

All makes are allowed to run, but for no prize except attendance bragging rights.
Only in a all Dodge shootout will there be a prize to the winning Dodge. Usually a motor and or $$ IIRC.
Perhaps if Plymouth's were allowed in a all Mopar shootout, it would be a huge field to go through and not enough time in the one day event. Plus Dodge is looking to enhance its brand through its own name of course.
The first year I ran it, the prize was a crated Hellcat motor and I left the facility prematurely thinking that a fairly large field of cars were not going to be allowed to run after a certain time curfew anyway. I was doing fairly well with good traction on my side and also a slower package. LOL.
I then just decided to go cruising on Woodward and also had a blast.

Last couple years it's been the weekend before the Woodward dream cruise, and the dream cruise is August 17th this year. If I were to guess it'll be on the 10th.

Yes, that is what I figured out, but just want to make sure that it is happening at all.

If I win Powerball, I'll make the pot so attractive for the contestants, that guys will be really running their cars like it was 1967.

There was four classes that payed out. 2 Dodge only class and 2 open for all makes class

Results below. The rain prevented the shootout.

It was interesting, you get three tries at the road and it was greasy. Only driver and one trunk monkey are allowed in the pits, makes for some good bench racing.

Last year you filled out a application and see if you got selected.

Definitely let the fords in to give some moparts members something to cheer for.
