Are these usually pretty good? My buddy received all new gauges for his 1970 Charger, the clock works in his Tic Toc Tach but not the tach....!?!? He wants a Tic Toc Tach..... any other suppliers? Thanks

they seem to be hit or miss & it depends on your ignition system - what ignition is he running?

talk to one of the gauge restorers & see if they can fix what he has

I think a Factory Mopar setup, I'll have to ask him. He just bought it from Classic Industries, brand new. Argh..

The newer repro tachs are compatible with aftermarket ignition systems (unlike the factory unit) or factory point type as well, is he using a factory/aftermarket/repro tach harness?, the Tic Toc Tach wiring installs are often a source of confusion and constant topic on B body forums.... need to know what he's done for wiring, assuming the tach is good and hasn't been fried electrically

He has all new factory wiring and he's quite an expert at this. The tach was DOA. He's going to call Classic and try to get them to exchange for another but he's not a happy camper. Asked me to post a question if there was higher quality reproductions on this site, so I did. Thanks guys

I think OER (Classics supplier) is the only game in town, Charger Specialties dropped their line of Tic Toc Tachs a few years ago
