Dumb question guys, but is it possible to put the Firestone "Polyglas" lettering, on modern radial tires so it has that great 70's look but with modern handling?

No offense but Polyglas tires must ride awful don't they?

First and foremost:

Firestone= WideOvals
Goodyear= Polyglas (Speedway WideTreads,etc)

As for ride, they came out on the cars that we love. That is also why they had rubber bushings and other things to help with the ride. Tires are definately part of the suspension package. Yes, there are some radials that are being made with redstripe/whitestripe/bluestripe. There are also radials that are in RWL. Makes sense to go into a market trying to pretend to be something you are not (New Tire trying to pretend that you are old?)

Many guys have no problem taking their bias ply stuff out and running down the highway with it. And they bite extremely well at the drag strip!!!

Some people have asked what I run!!! Here is a pic of my hot rod. No mopar as of yet, but I did come home from the hospital in a '68 Barricuda. Mom was the coolest teacher on the parking lot!!

You may not own a Mopar,but you certainly own a beautiful car.How about a little history on it? I like a car that can be driven on the street and still run a good E.T.
I bought a pair of the Firestone tires about 3 years ago for the front of my 67 Dart.I race on the M.T.slicks,which are bias ply.The Firestone's on the front,certainly improved the top end stability.Maybe next time I can buy them from you instead of Kelsey.

Thanks for the compliments on my car. I purchased it in '95 with 24K original miles. It now has 48K miles. I run at the Pure Stock Drags in September and sometimes to the FAST/ Factory Stock event @ Martin. With a/c and me in the car 4200#'s. Just my little bit of thearpy!!

I had someone ask last night and I am sorry I have not shared this information. Kelsey is currently in the development phase of their first non-OEM size Polyglas reproduction. Currently, the L60-15 Polyglas GT is in the delvelopment phase and if the planets align will be available to the public in July/ August time frame. I will keep everyone informed of the progress.

Those tires are not being reproduced at this time. I will quiz John Kelsey about those tires. How much interest would there be in them?

Everyone have a great time at the NATS!!!!

Any chance the L-60X15 Polyglas tire will be reproduced. Could use a bigger rear tire on my car.
