NHRA Division 1 is allowing transbrake, 2 steps , and air shifters this year. I have the air shifter and 2 step taken care of.
My question is about adjustable Transbrake buttons. I am looking at BIONDO - Terminator, or COLLECTOR TETHERS- Just-n-time. Anyone have any experience and or preference.
My car will go about .040 RED if I am leaving at the flash of the last yellow. Car is 1973 Dodge Dart sport, 540 cu. in. 727 3 speed auto, 4.10 gears. Torgue converter flashes to 5700. Usually 60 foot of 1.24 to 1.25 . Will carry front wheels out to about 50'.Best et 9.14 at 146 mph. Usually 9.20's et. We are freshening the engine now. will have a few more horsepower, guessing about 40 - 50 hp.
Trying to figure out what to order....

Terminator has .040 adjustment , the Just -in -Time has .120
Just in time costs about twice as much
I have been using the Terminator , really worked good with ol combo
But for 2019 I am going to buy a new Just In time

Duran Racing Products is what I ended up ordering. We will see how it works in a month....

What rpm on the 2 step? Lower it by 600 and try it. $0 change. I don't know what rpm on 2 step I will be using. When I footbraked it the last 3 years, I staged and left at 2000 Rpm.

This is a pic of The Predator Button, with the Piranha mount, made by Duran Racing Products. It will mount to my 1/4 stick shifter. It is NHRA approved.

I bought the .500 button in 2003. The telescope part was plastic and one time I left the steering wheel on the dash at Famoso, in hot weather and the thing melted into a "J"! "WhaaaCK!" is the noise it made when you sent it. That was why I didn't want to order any plastic buttons or switchs.

That looks like a high quality piece on the shifter like that. Pretty cool! You got it right with leaving low and slow on the rpm with a car that yanks the wheels out of the beams. Flatten out that drive line graph with the shift points and you can't believe the consistency.
