Epoxy has a great set of positives, but retaining gloss is not one of them. Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

I personally have never seen/tested a single-component spray paint that will withstand gasoline more than just a splash here & there. 2-component epoxy has the best chemical resistance, but will discolor (yellow typically) from sunlight exposure over time. 2-component urethane has the 2nd best chemical resistance & is very light stable as long as you have a MDI (aliphatic) isocyanate component. 70 Roadrunner convt. street car 440+6, NOS, 4-spd, SS springs '96 Mustang GT convt. street car '04 4.6 SOHC, NOS, auto, lowered "Officer, that button is for short on-ramps"
