68 cuda, 360, 4 speed, 73+ k member, power steering. In the instructions it says to install headers from under eath the car and jack up engine 1.5".
Well after pulling the suspension, clutch linkage, loosening the power steering box, jacking up the engine, using crowbars to push it over to the passenger side, and scratching up the ceramic coat on the headers I have realized that there is no way these things are going to squeeze by those fat edelbrock castings.
I assume I have to almost pull the engine, did anyone else run into this problem?

you might put the header in a large garbage bag to keep any contact from scratching anything.
live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Plastic rips real easy. Wrapping it in a blanket, don't let the wife catch you , would be a better option .

Well got the header in. I had to do the following:
1) Remove the starter 2) Remove clutch linkages 3) Remove draglink 4) Remove fan blade (to jack up engine it has to go I got a shroud) 5) Drain radiator to remove lower hose. 6) Remove rear trans support 7) Drop back side of trans 5" 8) get engine lift and pull up engine
Easy...went right in. HAHAHAHAHA...sob! Now I have to put the entire car back together again.
