I was Cruising the Craigslist and saw an ad for a A12 K member
The ad stated that it was A12 or possibly Daytona Charger only stating that it was only built for them
I have searched for details on this but haven't found anything concerning this

Pretty sure the A12 K member would be the same as any 440 B body K member in 1969. Have not heard of a special K member for these cars. I am sure sure some more knowledgeable A12 guys will chime in.

I had never heard of it
The ad says that it is a 69'k member that has 70' sway bar mounts welded on by the factory
Says it's a 69' K member top with a 70' bottom "Rare" he says and is asking $300 for it

Thanks, I found that it was a hard one to believe that these were A12 only

Here's the K-frame in question that I did the details on a long time ago over on the A12 Registry. Note that the bottom is already shaped to allow the '70 sway bar to run through it and not in front like the earlier K-frames. Also note that the bottom '70 style has the holes for the bolt on sway bar mounts only through the bottom half and not through the top. It has the early '69 front sway bar mount holes punched through. As pointed out in the earlier discussion the change over to the K-frame to accept the '70+ through the K-frame sway bar just happened to coincide with the A12 production although a few of the very early A12's did have the '68, early '69 K-frames. The 6-26 SPD '69 Road Runner was a car I owned that had the later '70 sway bar type K-frame and the illustration K-frame is also one I still have. '68/early '69 K-frame is the third/bottom image

I have never looked but is there a breaking point in the parts book for the sway Bar or K frame in 1969. There were changes to the Super Bee during the 1969 production during the year also just not the K frame.

my 69 440 Coronet R/T has the 1/2-n-1/2 K frame in it. the holes aren't drilled/punched all the way thru. only the 70 style bottom has the holes. it is the OE K. PSD 6/24

His claim was 69 1/2' A12 only or Daytona Charger only. I figured he was using the "Only" claim to these cars to boost a sale and gather hits

For B Body cars there were slant six K frames and V8 K frames in 1969.

The 318, 383, and 440 K frames are the point of this discussion. The HEMI may be as well. Someone will have to chime in and comment if it just has the skid plate attached that makes them different.

The manner in which the K frames were produced varied by which components were used from the previous model year and transitions to new components for the next model year. (Sway bar location)

There are 3 different V8 K frames used throughout the 69 model year. They have variances with the bottom component and sway bar mounts. The production date of your car will dictate which one you have. Notice, I have never mentioned a make or model of car, it is irrelevant.

Just my 2 cents.
