I know Dodge did not keep precise records of the number of cars painted specific colors, but I have been told that they did keep records of the approximate percentage of cars painted in the available colors. (20% of total production may have been red, for example)

Does anyone have access to those records so we could have an idea of the relative rarity of a particular color in 1967?

1967 Dodge Coronet
22 available colors
numbers I've seen tracked ONLY the extra-cost "hand buffed" paint code A = silver metallic

it accounted for 2.3% of B-body Dodges 181,744 (including Chargers) ~ 4,180 cars

<.1% Coronet Deluxe
2.0% Coronet 440
3.8% Coronet 500
4.5% Coronet R/T
5.9% Charger
<.1% Coronet station wagon
<.1% Coronet Deluxe station wagon
1.6% Coronet 440 station wagon

what color are you interested in?

"poly" tsk pet peeve a PPG adjective ….. paint code "H" = "dark copper metallic"

not that it means anything, but for 1967 B-bodies (non-Charger) - out of 228 organized car fender tag info:

4 cars HH1 (all St. Louis built Plymouths) ***** 4/228 = 1.8%

228 is a really small sample, and none of them were Dodges. WOW! A little bit of information is a whole lot better than none! Thanks for taking the time to look up this information. Until I find out differently, my story will be that only 1.8% of the 1967 Dodges were HH code Dark Copper!

4.5% would be an average color (1/22)
work
probably something like …..
green $$$ - extremely popular ?%
gold - real popular ?%
silver - popular ~2.3%
copper - less popular ~2%
