Does anyone have a W8 head bolt location, dimensional schematic?

I don't have it but if you can find W9 they are the same as would the R3 blocks that support them.

Would a head gasket get you close enough?

What is your project? Could be interesting!

If you have not done so already you might try posting on the W7 W8 W9 pages on Facebook.

It's the same as W9, right? Gary Stanton might have something for you.

Thanks for the help guys. I measured it out off the block. The head gaskets from Cometic are oblonged so there is not a exact spot. The project is a set of victor heads. They have tapped holes from the deck side and on center. I will post more info on the build soon. It is a Ritter block with victor heads. This will be a twin turbo build.

Yea we are trying to get them to change the head so it works.

We have the CNC program to put holes in heads where the should be.

You have to fill in the hole in the deck as the new hole is only half into the 7/16 hole from them and it will push you mill bit off center.

Brett, so the Victor head has one of the 7/16" holes in the wrong spot?

They did the head like a hemi

Has threaded hole in the deck and it’s on bore center line.

This is not how a R3 small block was done so I have no clue what they where doing with this head.

Yep, on the r3 18 bolt patterns, the smaller upper studs are not central to the bore..but i *think* they are on the bottom row however. I cant remember
