Anyone have a recommendation/contact where to purchase some Carter parts that I believe are not reproduced?

Some example of parts include the following:
1. Choke pull-off link rod
2. Fast idle cam rod link
3. Choke blade and shaft
4. Choke control link rod
5. Mounting lever/link control lever

carter had been making carbs since 1909. Might help if you mentioned what model. Edelbrock sells some linkage kits that might work

I'd see if a yard has one (close enough to your year/model for parts interchange) for cheap. You might call John at "the carburetor shop", Google will provide the #, he has tons of em. By mail would be the most convenient (time is money).

I would guess a parts carb would be the way to go , as previously mentioned.
Just type in the number on ebay and try to find a clean core , as cheap as possible.
That's exactly what I have to do with the radio business, that's why I have over 1,000 A B E body radios over here for parts . Sometimes it is the only way to get that little part you need .

fyi Edelbrock = Carter (Edelbrock purchased Carter to get into the carburetor business). I think buying a parts carburetor is your best option unless Edelbrock has all your little parts.

Check out Walker Products in Missouri. Looks like they have new parts for every carb ever built.

I've had good luck here. The owner worked for Carter in St. Louis for years. Bought tons of NOS stuff when the factory was closed. http://thecarburetorshop.com/

If Jon at the carbshop, or any of the others, can't help you pm me. I have boxes full of AFB components I used to restore them for people.

Think the rods are 1/8" rod which is easy to get. Can estimate the length and shape when following the FSM adjustments, and then a final tweak. Small hole for a pin, or a triangular file (or a fine saw blade)for a groove for the clips.
