I picked up this Challenger around 1-1/2 years ago. The previous owner had it around 30 years. He had the paint work done and also had a 1969 440hp installed along with some other work at the time. In the 30 years he had the car he put around 4000 miles on it. The original sheet metal is beautiful on the car and the paint is still nice, not even a chip. I decided to correct the things that are not original to the fender tag. I picked up a date coded 70 383hp and the correct 70 trans. Had them rebuilt and are now installed. It's a nicely optioned car, FE5 red, V6X black stripe and originally red interior which I am planning on getting to later. Also power steering and brakes, power top, console shift and cruise control. It also originally had a white top.

Is this the mod squad ride? Never mind. Unless it was swapped from column shift and power windows its not the one.

Looks great. Who did your grill? I refinished the grill myself. It was originally an NOS argent center that I striped and resprayed following the original tape off lines.

Haven't given any updates for a while but restored the rear end. Correct 489 center section with 3.23 gears and sure grip. New brakes and rebuilt leaf springs.
