I picked up this Challenger around 1-1/2 years ago. The previous owner had it around 30 years. He had the paint work done and also had a 1969 440hp installed along with some other work at the time. In the 30 years he had the car he put around 4000 miles on it. The original sheet metal is beautiful on the car and the paint is still nice, not even a chip. I decided to correct the things that are not original to the fender tag. I picked up a date coded 70 383hp and the correct 70 trans. Had them rebuilt and are now installed. It's a nicely optioned car, FE5 red, V6X black stripe and originally red interior which I am planning on getting to later. Also power steering and brakes, power top, console shift and cruise control. It also originally had a white top.

The black interior was out of a 1970 318 Challenger convertible that got parted out years ago. The seats have the original covers and are really nice.

Correct, it's close option wise but not the Mod Squad car

Neat cat though. Nice work. How many cool cars do you have? Love the blue GTX.

Moving along with getting things together in the engine compartment. I'm hoping to get the new headlight harness today, if so I will install the wiring. I'm hoping to fire the engine up this month. It should be a fun car to drive around this year.

Moving along but things seem to always take longer than I'd like. Got the refinished grill back in along with the bumper, lower valance and hood back on. Planning on firing it up today.

I refinished the grill myself. It was originally an NOS argent center that I striped and resprayed following the original tape off lines.

Haven't given any updates for a while but restored the rear end. Correct 489 center section with 3.23 gears and sure grip. New brakes and rebuilt leaf springs.

Finally got the red interior back in the car after 40 or so years with a black interior. The original color combo is much better. It's ready to have a few miles put on it.

Thats a very cool car Eric!
Someone is interested in possibly trading me a 70 U code vert for my '71 V code. I already have my N code convertible, which is my favorite in my little Challenger collection, so getting a second Challenger convertible seems a bit crazy, but I love Challenger convertibles therefore I'm interested in seeing where this goes!
