I did one once by using a brush about the width the channel and held a piece of note card along the inside to run the brush along and act as a shield. There were a couple places where I touched the outside and had to wipe it out. You have to keep a fair amount of paint on the brush so it doesn't look brushed.

If I had to do it again I think I would tape it up and spray. You could put the piece of tape at the bottom of the channel and run the inside fairly easily, the outside wouldn't be bad on the flat spots but you would probably have to do some x-acto work in the corners.

Thanks Mike.

The only thing that has come to me to possibly try so far is a small brush on the inside of a small diameter tube, like a small straw.

I've done a few using a 1/16" square tip brush. I use Testors Argent silver from the hobby store.

Drip some paint in the groove and tilt the part and watch the paint run it's course.

This is what I did but I used a hyperdermic needle to apply the paint. Takes a little time but if you watch the flow and keep it tilted so it flows down you should be fine. I used VHT Ford Argent wheel paint bought at a parts house. Just spray paint as needed in a small cup and load it up.
