The steel hoods were different from normal hoods, though, in that they had the center of the inner bracing cut out.
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.

only alum front end cars had scoops. majority didn't and it was only a 63 and 64 thing. That is correct. And they did not make a lot of aluminum front end cars. By my Darrell Davis book Plymouth built 1196 Max Wedge cars in 63 and built just 50 aluminum front ends. Only 40 aluminum front end cars were sold as the other 10 sets it says went into the parts dept and were only sold as complete sets. I have heard that some people bought the Max Wedge scoops and put them on their cars themselves. But I don't know where they bought the scoop separate in 63 & 64 as I don't know if you could get them anywhere else besides the manufactor ? Ron
