Sold my 65 Plymouth sedan to a guy from Michigan that was converting a 4 dr to 2 dr.Body wast bad but he wanted from the doors back.Said it was pretty easy to convert.Rocky Rocky's statement is correct. The conversion is not that difficult. There've been posts here and elsewhere on the conversion, on a number of different cars. Here's one for my car for example. board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1347457/2.html The toughest parts to find in my experience are the 2 dr door jambs and the rear quarter window frames. That said, it's worth the hunt and the effort. I always thought removing the rear door handles and/or welding the rear doors shut resulted in a car that looks out of proportion. A 2 dr sedan looks so much better as a drag car.

It's hard to make out in the photos but you need to open up the sill on the four door rocker or swap in a two door version. I have seen people weld right to the sill but if you do that the water has nowhere to go and you'll eventually have problems.

Just goes to show how similar the basic bodies are. In the early B's it looks like all but the convertible were built as 4-doors and the rear door opening covered over.

I know a dude that has two four doors and another dude that has another four door. I have seriously been considering trying to get all three, find the two door parts & start doing conversions on this 62-65's.

The 62-65 2 door and 4 door share the same body. Move the B pillar back. Install 2 door doors. Patch the 1/4 panel with a piece of the 4 door skin. Instant 2 door sedan from a pristine 4 door. Though my son says converting his 62 4 door to a 2 door would only result in a ugly 2 door. Doug "Embrace the doors. All 4 of them! beer" quoted Look at that MORE door!! If I were to try and build a car nowadays,4 doors and wagons are cool!!!

I didn't read all the posts but I am assuming that was a 4dr originally!

You're right. In my case we'd studied the remains of the 2dr parts car and reworked the 4 door rocker to provide for drainage in roughly the same manner.
