I have the following fuel filters and need mounting ideas for them, one is 1.25” diameter and one is 1.75” diameter.

Small and light enough to just be plumbed in line and let the hose support it. Or use an adapter and attach it to the pump or tank inlets/outlets.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I made my own mounts.. .020 stainless with a
rap of rubber on the inside.. very simple and
has been on there 20 years now
EDIT
Correction.. it was .020 stainless
wave

I have used dune buggy rollbar mounts for stuff like that. I avoid the chrome plated stuff.

I don't want to go all Captain Obvious on you but if you search for fuel filter mounting brackets on Summit you'll find a bunch: https://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/fuel-filter-mounting-brackets?ibanner=SREPD4

The hose will support those filters if needed. I mounted my filter under the car on the right hand frame rail just forward of the passenger door leading edge. . I purchased some pre-bent brackets from the Home Depot (they have many shapes and sizes), bent them a tad to securely cradle my filter, and welded it to the frame rail. It would also be very easy to attach a hose clamp to the bracket that would secure the filter in place.

Don't use either one of those between the fuel tank and electric fuel pump tsk I learn that lesson the hard way thumbs
What electric fuel pump are you using and what size fuel filter micron rating size do they recommend to use between the tank and pump?

I have done that didn’t see the sizes I need which is why I came here and asked.

Why shouldn’t I use them between the fuel cell and fuel pump? All I see anymore is how there needs to be a filter pre and post pump.

I am currently using a Holley blue pump. I have never seen anything stating a micron rating for it.

This is how they are currently, I just don’t like it. Both are in the trunk near the fuel cell and pump.

I agree, those are for the pressure side between pump and carb. I use a spin on with #12 pre-pump. You can even get them with water separating capacity with a petcock drain.

I was told by Magnafuel to use a 100 micron or bigger filter between the tank and there pumps, I used a BG 500 filter that had a paper element in it(10 micron rating down realcrazy) and could not richen the mixture up enough to slow the car down, the wide ban showed it going lean from the starting line and got leaner as it accelerated, that was with their 275 pump shruggy
I bought a bigger 300 pump and had the exact same results on the wide ban so I change the filter to a bigger 80 micron rating and it went rich work
On your deal you may be fine with those filters with the small Holley blue pump, it depends on how much power your going to make work

I made my own.
Aluminum strap drilled over sized and put a rubber grommet in the hole.
Mount anywhere you want.

The Summit 100 micron between the tank and pump will work just fine. I have that exact one before my Aerospace Components 400gph pump. Fuel pressure and volume don't fluctuate one bit.

I don't have one after the pump and have not seen a need for one.

Thanks, that is what I had read and been told was big micron filter before the pump and the smaller filter after the pump. If I run into issues i'll drop back and punt but for now I am sticking with what I have. I'm not out there looking to knock any ET or speed barriers down or build huge power. I never even ran a filter pre-pump with the old pump and the same cell, I ran a Fram paper filter one but I figured technology had changed in the 20 years since I had built the original plan at 25.

I thought I saw a 10 micron(not the 100 micron) and 40 micron on the links to the Summit adds, sorry for not seeing it was a 100 micron on the first view blush
Use the 100 micron between the tank and pump and a 10 micron between the pump and the carb up

I've learned over and over through the years, that when "experts" implement "rules", they should be questioned and quite often, disregarded as new factors come into play from when the original "rule" was stated.

in this case, is a 100 micron pre-filter actually a significant, measurable restriction? in my non-expert verified experience, no it is not.

I like a filter to protect that expensive pump. Using one with a less restrictive micron rating AND paying attention to the old advice of using 1 or 2 dash size larger plumbing between the pump and the tank should reduce any restriction issues.

Along with that, keep your jugs, funnels, etc. clean so you don't pour trash into the tank along with the fuel. I used a paint strainer in the fuel funnel. Surprising what it would catch sometimes.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
