After 45 years and 79,000 Miles the Waygun's clutch is due.
318/ 3 speed manual column shift.
Can anybody tell me the specs for the clutch? 10.5? 11 inch?
I know the tranny is not the Hemi 18 spline but I see 23 and 26 spline listings.Which one do I have?
I plan on upgrading from stock since I have 4bbl intake and 800cfm ThermoQuad with dual exhaust. The engine will be getting an upgraded cam for a heavy car that will be towing.
Any advice and/or clutch recommendations is appreciated, thanks in advance.

There are no 26 spline clutches for that era. So where you are seeing this is not a good source.

It's a 10.5" 23 spline setup and just about any stock replacement kit will do what you need. If you want a lighter pedal feel the diaphragm option is available.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Thanks guys!
Centerforce clutches are not cheap yet good but may be overkill for my heavy wagon with light engine upgrades.
I do city drive my Waygun and dont want to blow out my knee or hip,yet want a good grabbing clutch. LOL
I was considering Ram,Zoom,or MacLeod.
Any thoughts?

As others have said, no need to break the bank, just get a slightly heavier stock replacement clutch.

Update....Getting mixed reviews on the type of clutch to use.
Diaphragm? or Borg N Beck.
I have to admit the Waygun is my only standard transmission Mopar I ever owned. All others in the fleet just "happen" to be automatics.

I will be using an RV cam (Summit K6900),cheap headers,800CFM Thermoquad carb, heavy car (4000 pounds) with 3.23 gears and 16 inch 27 inch tall tires.I do haul schtuff with the waygun and love to goose it from time to time.

Hey...with 3 on da tree and no radio I gotta entertain myself...
BTW NO I will NOT cut a hole in the floor for a Pistol Grip.
The Waygun is just way too cool and so much fun to drive!
So..Borg n Beck? or Diaphram??

Looks like a pretty cool ride.
The Borg & Beck tends to be a more heavy duty clutch that a diaphragm. If you want a more heavy duty, the Borg & Beck is probably your best choice. Its likely there is a Borg & Beck in there now.

Diaphragm clutches have an easy pedal effort, so they tend to slip a little more when engaged. Gene

I like the original style Borg & Beck. I don't find them heavy at all if it's a stock replacement style clutch. The over center spring helps a lot.

If you do go with a diaphragm clutch, you should remove the over center spring or make a pedal stop to keep the clutch from hanging up.

Ordered a Hays Borg n Beck one up from stock up to 450 HP
The HP is not a concern, just a heavy car that hauls schtuff.
Will be installed in the spring after hibernation..
