"Whoever it was who said "experience allows you to make mistakes differently" was right...."
lol
Thanks for that. Seems like there's some unknown law or ratio of ways to get it wrong to ways to get it right
I think leaving the rotor out of a distributor was my personal high point though. I thought I was the only one who did that lol

Wait till some of you guys get old. I put my bifocals on and take them off so many times in my he shop that I probably have 20 pairs laying around. And that’s just in my shop. I buy them by the 5 Pac at my local pharmacy

yes I will have to agree. First I go to get the race car out of the trailer to pull the engine for winter freshen, and the oil pan had sprung a leak so I had 8 quarts of 20-50 racing oil on the floor. Two bags of oil dry, and a gallon of purple power cleaner, trying to hose out the floor and it got cold enough that it froze to ice and I busted myself in the trailer. Hear a loud hissing from the shop and a popping noise, the pressure switch had stuck on the air compressor and the relief valve was blowing off. Got an email from a supplier with a tracking number for a set of door panels, and they shipped them to Australia instead of Missouri. Australia...Missouri...just about close enough for the brown truck.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

Back when In 92 , My Friend Chuck’s, 74 400 RR eat it’s 727, him not being a car guy and broke musician couldn’t afford to send the car out to get it fixed, I convinced I Could rebuild it and put it in over the weekend if I had the parts….well got the 727 out rebuilt it, put it back in , filled it up with fluid, put it in Drive…nothing just engine noise and no movement, put it Reverse nothing, I’m panicked , we pull the box back out, tear it down, Call my dad, then call my uncle, go over this trans one more time…put it back in, re fill it…nothing, no forward no reverse….I’m stressing out about to cry , Chuck has to get to work in the morning, it’s 2 am on Sunday night….I put my hand on the drive shaft leaning against the wall……yeap that’s right the DRIVE SHAFT leaning against the wall….forgot to install it twice…..every now and then out of the blue Chuck will ask me if I’ve seen the driveshaft lately

I buy them by the 5 Pac at my local pharmacy just don't let your "best" friend fix your favorite pair when they get "slightly bent out of shape". he fixed mine sunday, and they fit good ....... till i took them off. they promptly fell apart at the arm screw. seems the screw broke IN the arm, leaving the head of the screw and the thread tail, stuck in the main frame. and to think i paid $1.00 for those glasses ! now i'll hafta spend an hour or so, digging out the screw parts and replacing the screw.
