But they also have kits listed for late models with that disclaimer. doesen"t make sense to have a listing for 5.7, 6.1 and 6.4 HEMIs and have that disclaimer.
Procharger has more kits and they are emissions legal. How can that be?

That is why I brought attention to it. It doesn't make sense unless they are selling the kit for race only conditions for newer vehicles. Procharger has tunes for theirs that may make them compatible with the emissions systems. What makes an item legal for use on 75 and newer vehicles is going thru the approval process to get a CARB EO number or certifying, under the CARB rules, that it is a replacement part that does not change remissions. Nothing else. Procharger may have the greatest tune in the world and makes the exhaust safer than a unicorn fart, but unless it has an EO number it's not legal.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Most states don't have a problem with aftermarket parts on newer cars. I think that is just a CYA statement. For instance there are several different supercharger choices for 2000 and up BMWs but they don't have any governmental stamp of approval, yet they are installed across the country. Local or state inspections may apply, and California is a world unto itself.

Federal law
What slides by is one thing. What costs you $25k if someone turns you in is another.

CARB = California Air Resource Board The states that have adopted the California standards are: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico (2011 model year and later), New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, as well as the District of Columbia. BUT, 68DART360 is in Pennsylvania and they are on that list.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

What slides by is one thing. What costs you $25k if someone turns you in is another. Yeah I guess so. But there is a thriving billion dollar business that has been going on for 40-50 years or so and not many people seem to be getting turned in.

Back to the OP's original question...i have also been checking the torque storm stuff out for a possible usage on a low compression la 360 I have sitting on an engine stand collecting dust. They seem like a good deal and are less expensive than a procharger...
