I have a Hemi Four speed trans with the VIN OE1085_8 It appears to be missing one digit, what do you think? It would be nice to get it reunited with the car if it exists, or if it can be deciphered further based on the date stamp etc.

1970 LA car, so it is from a Challenger but they did not make Hemi cars there in '70.

What is the spline count & front bearing retainer diameter?

Big bearing and an 18 spline input shaft. 4.80 diameter retainer.

They did build six pack cars in LA, same transmission.

440HP (U-code) 4-spd cars also used the H.D. 18-spline transmission

shruggy JS29U0E108588 is a possibility, I don't know what transmission it originally had or where it is now

18-SPLINE 9G261778 would've been a Plymouth b-body

0E 1085?8 could be from an R/T or R/T SE with either the 440 or 440-6.

It is NOT from 108548 since it is a small block car, so that leaves 9 other possibilities.

Thanks for the info, hopefully the car still exists and the owner see's this post! Unlikely I am sure...

These transmissions were found here in the Detroit area, the home of many Hemi cars!
