Hey gang..

Seems like a trivial thing, but for the life of me I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the proper clip that retains the harness there at the alternator on the 68-70+ years... Maybe I'm not using the proper search key words...

Also, is there somewhere that sells the proper male and female electrical terminals (maybe they are series 56?).. Would like to buy in bulk since I use a lot in my restoration hobby.

Cheers,
Troy

Are you looking for the one that looks like someone is giving the "finger"?

If you are looking for the flat male/female wire terminals, the dealer probably can still get them. The original P/Ns have been superseded about 20 times, so you will need a friendly parts guy/gal to find them. 2298882 was the P/N last time I bought them. Comes in bag w/ 1 male and 1 female terminal with a pair of male/female single pin connectors. I bought a ton of them back in the 80's, probably been superseded since then. One dealer I used to use, got them from bulk supplier (loose).

If you have a parts manual, check the Plugs, Terminal and Connections Illustrated pages in Chapter 8 Electrical. Example: 70-71 parts manual, pages 8-77 through8-79. Also check P/Ns in section 8-16-0 of the parts manual.

Hey Chuck..

There's a close resemblance to the alternator clip and the emergency brake warning wire clip attached to the inner fender on the driver's side. Regarding the terminal connectors, I believe there's a place that sells these things in bulk boxes at a good price.. That's what I am trying to find....

Thanks for replying..

Check out their site, they have quite a variety. There are lots more.

I know there are companies like DelCity and Hillco, but I think they have more of the aftermarket parts store style.
