It’s been a while since I’ve ordered a carpet which is the better of the two? It’s going into my 1970 satellite convertible

ACC purchased the Trim Parts carpet line back in November of 2016 and thus all of the automotive carpet that is available now is an ACC product.

It’s going into my 1970 satellite convertible ACC carpet hands down, go with the mass backing membrane, you'll thank yourself for spending the extra money, if your going bone stock then 80/20 loop is your only choice, if you want a rich looking/feeling carpet, go with a special order and have it made in high cut pile, with mass backing of course

Iv bought 2 carpet sets. One for the cuda and one for 71 charger. Both black. Both from auto custom carpets (through year one) and I had to pull both and re dye them. Because the sun turned them a reddish color....

Because the sun turned them a reddish color.... Supposedly that's an issue in the past that's been rectified, I had the same experience with black ACC carpets in the past as well, but it seemed it was only with the "Grandma 80/20 loop" OEM style, I have a black ACC high cut pile carpet in my Challenger that has to be all of 35 years old and still looks brand new to this day... As well as a black high cut pile ACC in my Charger that's going on 14 yrs and still looks like new Mike

The carpet in the cuda is 20 years old. The carpet in the charger is prob 6-7 years old. Both acc black 80/20 loop. Both turned red where direct sun light could reach....

I went with trim parts because summit had it for half off and then got a discount on top of that I usually go with acc and always worked out good for me. However, I haven't bought a black one in many year, so can't comment on it fading.

Hope it fits good but experience says it is not pre-formed very well to fit down in the rear floor wells, next to the rockers and around the shifter hump. Also, the gas pedal may not fit in the corner of the heel pad like original. You know the old saying “You get what you pay for”. Why do you think the pricing was so low?

Not sure what you got in the past, but the carpet I got is definitely preformed. It's the plush style, not the loop... never liked that style and only use it when doing a car all original.
