I bought a new to me drag car today. It’s a full tube chassis 4 link with a 9in. rear Dodge Shadow that is supposed to be 2400 lbs. It’s already geared and set up for a powerglide . A search showed up several adapter options. Will anyone share a system that is straightforward to install and I can keep from having to sell a body part to purchase? I have found several good deals on a tranny, it’s the conversion to a Mopar 360 I’m worried about. How do I attach a picture anyway? Thanx Moparallen

I know guys who have used the adapter plate with the GM case deal for years, like it, it works and they won't change. I used a JW bell and flywheel kit with stock GM cases behind a small block and it worked OK. Wasn't a big fan of using the pump bolts, but that's how they did it. If I were to start from scratch today, I believe I would go with the ATI case and bellhousing deal. ATL is a good company, I like their stuff, they support the sport, they've always taken care of me, and they are reasonably close to me. The JW/stock case deal may be a bit cheaper, but weaker. And the case would still need a shield. A plate system with a one piece SFI GM case would be second choice. I assume someone does them for SBM.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I've had big and small block adapters, Ultrabells, and now ATI aftermarket cases and bells. I bought my 3rd one a few weeks ago during the 15% off ebay sell and got it through Jegs saving some nice change. I now have the powerglide bell, small block, and big block. I love these things.
