I have a 73 K-frame and suspension with 11.75 disc on my 72 Dart. Put on a set of factory 15" Ralleys and the wheels are hitting the upper control arms. WTH. Can't run these wheels on an A body????

Never put 15" ralleys on an A-Body before, only 14". Must have different backspacing, 6-1/2 or 7? shruggy

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

I’ve run 15x7 cop rims that have the same as stock 15x7 rallyes: 4 1/4 backspacing.

That clearance is the same as a any E or B body with the only exception of the upper control arm. Is your UCA original or repro? Are you rallyes OE 15x7 or repro?

Also notice this is with the suspension all dropped down. Do you have the UCA bump stops installed? Even with them it’s close. When you put it and ride height, that clearance gets bigger.

If you haven’t aligned it yet, you could have too much negative camber (top tilted inwards). And would reduce that clearance.

I’ve run 15x8 rallyes with 4 1/2 backspacing. That’s a 1/4” closer. I had a tire blowout and it knocked all the inside wheel weights off.

Factory original 15x7 4.25 BS. I think that is the BS, need to check.
Original factory UCA's
Bump stops and everything is install. Have not done the alignment yet.
When raised in the air can turn the wheels but when I drop it on the ground then they hit.
I do have the T/bar up a bit too much.
So Steve you have ran this setup?

With cop rims, yes. They have the same 15x7 backspacing.

And I’ve run it with 15x8 rallyes I had made with 4 1/2 backspacing. Those had aftermarket outer hoops. But I was never close with the 15x7’s.

Is the ball joint all the way seated into the spindle?

Yep. Rims are rubbing on both sides.

Just a thought, but is that the 72 spindle with a 73 upper ball joint attached?
If so, then we have two different sizes working against each other.

No it's not a 72 and down spindle.

Ok here is better shot. I added some wheel spacers so I can roll the car. I think that I may have found the problem. The UCA is actually points upwards toward the rim. I'm think I may have grabbed a set up 73-up B body spindles out of my stock instead of the 73-up A/E ones. 73-up B spindles are taller than the rest.
What do you guys think?

Well color me silly. That is what I've done. These spindles are 3/4" taller than the ones on the B and E bodies I have in the shop.
Just love moving backwards. runaway
Thanks for your input guys.
See ya at the Fling Steve.
