I think a L88 style scoop would fit quite well with the shape of a 73-76 Valiant/Duster hood but have never seen it done.

Exactly. It would be like putting a 6 Pac scoop on a Camaro. It just wouldn't look right.......

my Mopar... I made it a bit taller

Because they work,dont have terrible aero and fits the lines on some of these cars quite well.




If you ask me that sixpack scoop doesnt look right on anything but 68-70 plymouth B-bodies either,for what its worth i have one of those sixpack scoops on a 73 Duster and dont realy like it.
Go with what works and if you go for a scoop based on looks,get one that fits the lines of your car.

because they look good? I mean E-bodys got a furd shaker? and for some Mopars no other hood scoop looks good. Chargers for example...and if you need room they are the only way to go.

putting a six-pack scoop on anything other than an A12 car looks goofy.

I have no problem with cowl hoods on Mopars, they look great if done right.
And I loved the 6pak hood on my Dart. I would use it again in a heartbeat. It was a 3" glass hood from AAR. I don't care too much for the taller 6pak scoops but I know they serve a purpose for clearance.

I have the feeling if I had a forward facing scoop my 14lb hood wouldn’t weigh 14lbs anymore...personally I really don’t like hood scoops/cowls. I’d love to have port injection and run a bone stock flat hood

That's as dumb as asking "why put bucket seats in my car?" just because some other car company offered them first.

Cowl hoods look fantastic on mopars- actually any cars. Late 70s Aspens, Volares and Malibus for example. They are a GM staple but wow do they look good.

why did mopar put a ford hood on cuda's and challengers?

Next some of you guys will want to put FURD 9 inch rearends in your cars, after market parts, and only God knows what's next. Cheese and rice!!!!!!!

and a cowl hood on the Rampage.. which came stock
on it but I made it a bit taller

LOL. I want a cowl hood real bad but never made the move yet to order one. I dislike the look if they stop short of the windshield so its gotta be a lift off and its gotta be tight for me.
